Don't even tell me you've never been "THERE"... :)
I want to become known,(famous-really)
as the one who -
(genially, after all this time),
found the word. You know-
the one that rhymes with
ORANGE !
I see all the great thinkers
and poets of the day,
slapping their hands
against their foreheads, pondering
(until late into the night
in their beds or desk chairs),-how
it could have escaped THEM.
(Earlier in their careers,or 4th grade).
I want it to be an ordinary word,
(It can be found in any dictionary),
so that my brilliance
is undeniable!
Yes! I want to find that
one little word(I'm sure that's
what it is),
that has never been
on the tip of anyone's tongue
but,(if only once),
on the roof of everyones mind.
Nothing rhymes with orange as I know you know, it is perfectly shaped , orange in colour until eaten.

Marvel at the orange bright green on the tree before it is picked. Then see it turn orange and enter the marmalade mincer. Without it no trully great breakfast.
Lovingly we cut the orange and enjoy its freshness, its sweetness, its vitamins and its roughage. Then we compost it to regrow in due course feeding other life.
And so it is with humans. Sylvia I pray you are not suffering too much. Smile and let the world see the fresh orange that you are.
