edges up
to the not yet
visible dunes
landscaping his soul.

The imagery is so condensed and strong. There is a clear vision of what survival is and how a man must learn to accept to lose something in order to keep and nourish love.

that I had an ectomy of my own, in my case, my colon.But I wanted to write from the perspective of the person who stands by the loved one,
and explore the dept it takes even for the one going through it
"in"-directly. Due to my own cancer experience I have met many women
who's lifes have been impacted by an ectomy that is visible or enabled
them from procreation,I have written this poem to honor the men who stood by them.
My God ... what an experience. I am so sorry. And the fact that you sing the praises of the man who stood by you, brings tears to my eyes.
You are a noble woman. Thankyou for sharing this powerful piece!

Those last few lines are so beautiful, the title was a mystery, then upon reading this, I was taken away with the words.
