STORM WARNING

Because I am presenting this poem, please don't get the idea that I think I am any better than anyone else.  Let me make it clear that I am a sinner who has believed the good news of salvation through faith in Jesus Christ, has repented of my sin, and has accepted Him as my Savior, who took the punishment for all my sin (past, present and future) "in his own body on the tree," as the Bible says.  Because Christ's love is in me now, I have to use my poetry to try to persuade others to also receive His free gift of salvation.      God bless you.    Connie

Do you hear the thunder crashing,
Rolling from horizons far?
‘Tis the voice of God Almighty,
Resonating yon the stars.
How it rumbles as it travels,
Forging pathways for the rain,
Pouring torrents from the cloud-banks,
Deluging the earth again.

Lightning flashes bolts of warning!
Trumpet sounds will soon be heard.
Gath’ring winds bring fear and trembling,
Proving prophecies in God’s Word.
One day soon the clouds will open,
Jesus’ call resound on high;
Bidding those who know the Savior
Rise to meet Him in the sky!

Holy God will keep His promise,
Soon Lord Jesus will return.
No one knows the day or hour,
Though our hearts within us burn.
When He calls His children upward,
Some will weep and wonder why;
Those left behind, in mass confusion,
Will fall as prey to Satan’s lie.

Still, the wise may hear and ponder,
Heed the warning while they may.
‘Tis lost souls who mock the Bible,
Caring not what God will say.
Misconception and delusion
Causes men to turn away;
Blinded now, they’ll soon awaken
On God's coming Judgment Day!

There are actually two occasions when Jesus Christ will come again: First, to call believers, dead and alive, to meet Him in the air. Second, to judge the earth.

The Bible makes it clear that "NO ONE KNOWS THE DAY NOR THE HOUR"  Thus, it is pointless to set a date for His return.  
It also warns, though, that we are to be ready for His return at any time.
The signs given in many scriptures in the bible have been fulfilled, and Bible believers know that He could come at any time.

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately.  “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

Jesus answered, “Watch out that no one deceives you.  For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ’, and will deceive many.  You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed.  Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.  Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth pains.”
