Your day is coming, evil one,
and you -- 
who dare with cunning to defame,
will kneel in mute submission
at the throne of Him
Who bears the sweetest name.

You foul, tormenting hater of
 the Son -- 
Though bound to destroy if you could --
He reigns supreme!  One day,
you'll bow and learn the truth
you never understood.

You must recall that evil day --
the promise* --
rendered to the sinful pair.
God declared the Seed, His
own Christ, would crush your head --
No mercy would He spare!  

You bruised the heel of my Savior.  
You gloated --
when my Lord was crucified.
But Jesus lives!  He sits
at God's right hand.  His justice
will by no means be denied!

*The promise refers to that given in the Garden of Eden after Lucifer tempted Adam and Eve, and led them into deliberate sin. (Genesis 3)
      Lucifer, also known as Satan, hates God and tried through the ages to thwart God's plan to provide a Savior.  Jesus defeated him once and for all when He paid for the sins of mankind in His body on the cross, then rose from the grave on the third day, as testified by more than 500 witnesses.
      The final victory will be brought to completion when Lucifer/Satan is thrown into the Lake of Fire prepared by God for him and his followers.  (Revelation 20, verse 10)
