The Irish Touch

An little internet gleaning this morning.

Into a Belfast pub comes Paddy,

looking run over by a train.

Arm in a sling, nose broken,

Face cut, dragging with a limp.

"What happened?" asked Sean, the bartender.

"Jamie O'Conner and me had a fight."

"That little sh*t O'Conner couldn't do that to you!

He must have had something in his hand."

"Aye, that he did, a shovel is what he had

And a terrible beatin' he gave me with it."

"Well," said Sean, "you should have defended yourself!

Didn't you have something in your hand?"

"That I did," said Paddy, “and a thing of beauty it was.

But alas, Mrs. O'Conner's breast was useless in a fight!"

LOL this brings to my mind cartoons I use to see in the newspaper of "Andy Capp" I think the name is. Except in his case if he had, had Mr's O'Conner's breast in his hand it would be his wife banging him over his head!
