No fear of God in her eyes so young She rode on High through the desert sun Within her womb, imposed a redeeming Star and by her side, upholding divinities’ guying Light
Faith rode upon this wondrous feat Unknown lands to an unsung beat Here in the midst of a simple wing A manger becoming, where Angel’s sing
Her tear stays upon this Blessed face It never descends, to deluge abase Stilling peace, beneath her eyes of wonder No query she has, just sorts of somber
An auspice infant among Herald waives Dominus rests in this attending Babe Allay all breach, don’t wound Their hearts Devote yourself directed, where virtue imparts
A mother dreads even the littlest hurt when gazing on our miraculous birth With waking and watchful eye keeps a vigil on her helpless child
I know her tear will fall ,eventually but for now I will praise Him, especially... Love and Peace, I will always pray And God Bless you all, on this Christmas Day!

This drawing was purchased at an antique shoppe here in St. Augustine,Florida. It is signed by a Herman Kanllin;copyrighted 1806 by Fr. Hantzsteiner. I do not know who the author is nor the priest that made this copy. I wish I could find out. It is one of my prized possessions! The frame around it is so simple, yet so unique, I am sure that in itself is a collection.

A very moving and wonderful write Kimmy, a mother's love is the purest form of love. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Hugs, Laura
Splendid write to celebrate the Christmas season with and that pic is surely a prize in itself. I thought it was a photograph at first look. Stay well for the Holy days ahead.
Unique and captivating take on the humanity and holiness of Christmas, Kimmy. The manger pointing the way to the cross. May your holidays be blessed with peace and joy. TY K xx
I love the hint of classicism you imparted with your choice of words -especially in the fourth stanza where it seemed to blossom and then wane again in the fifth. The sixth stanza is laced with hope and a determined thankfulness that resolves your thoughts nicely. Well written and touching indeed. Best Holiday wishes for you and yours.

PS I'm still trying to figure out what happened with the post.
Not only is the print a prize Sis. Kimmy, but also the writer of this beautiful symbolic poem that goes far beyond the season known to the world as Christmas. Both speak so boldly of humanity and spirituality and sacrifice and love.

Ah how true Kimmy. Her tear fell, but she bore the pain of her child crucified with dignity. However we must live one day at a time. As the Ecclesiasticus says, there is a time and place for everything. Now is the time of joy. Let us rejoice He came to save us. Excellent poem and beautiful picture. Victor
No wonder the hymn writer could write, 'who is he in yonder stall at whose feet the shepherd's fall? It is the Lord, oh wondrous story'
And a happy Christmas and new year to you too, Kimmy.

Christmas - only days away; plastic snowmen and glowing reindeer adorn the lawns of neighborhoods all across America. All is calm, all is bright, and yet there is something tragically wrong about this Christmas night.
