Magnificent color, handmade
structure,
Carefully laid sideways,
removed from an old
abandoned house.
Many years ago the owner had died
Intestate, perhaps
No one was left behind to care.
One old curved glass closet
dated back to the 1900's, maybe.
One drawer with a set of skeleton keys.
One curious seeker of colletible
furniture and treasure,
attempted to open the old
curved glass door.
The old furniture needed to stand
on it's feet. There are some boys sitting
under a tree. "Come fellows
take $10.00 an carry this old dresser
down the street to my house for me,
and if you dont mind
stand it upright on the deck; on it's feet."
Each key has it's purpose ,
Old wooden locked boxes of coins,
Some gold some silver some rusty.
A doll in the original box dated
year 1811.
Padded walls of various size bills
of money,
hidden behind old newspapers.
The next thing to do is go banking,
and then call a furniture restorer, who
will leave the smell of the find,
and build a nicer case for the doll.
