MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR
(I promised to give two pints of blood on my birthday (the 26) so just in case... I thought I would squeeze this little message out. This comes from a part of a sermon I heard Sunday) HOPE TO BE BACK SOON:-)
How old was Jesus when the Wise Men came?
Was He still in a manger? I don't know, but
I do not believe so.
According to the scripture they came
across the desert following a star
until they came upon a house to find
where Joseph, Mary and Jesus are.
He had to be a child, no longer in a manger.
How many Wise Men came to visit?
Do you believe three alone
could have made such a trek.
To see Jesus in a manger
would be quite a feat to travel
without a train, plane, or jet,
across the desert by camel or afoot.
Would we have joined the Wise Men?
Would we have riden camels or walked?
I certainly hope so, if we were so wise.
Anyway, I am glad the story is told.
Even if Jesus was a baby or a child,
we have learned from His Story how
To Be Humble, Meek and Mild.
How long can a baby live in a manger?
