A den filled with so many talented people that I have been blessed to meet.....
A little poem to express how much I will miss each and every one of you.....
Until I return......
To all my friends.......
To all my friends at authorsden,
whom I hold dear and close to my heart.
Hubby and I are taking a trip,
our RV is packed and we are ready to part.
Northward we head through Oklahoma,
on through Kansas and South Dakota.
Mountain of four presidents we will see,
then off to the prairie in Minnesota.
Land of ten thousand lakes they say,
beautiful country I can hardly wait.
Mountains, lakes, animals run free,
a place to relax, unwind, contemplate.
Never had a chance to see the sights,
though lived in Mankato many years back.
A railroad built with blood and sweat,
we will have a chance to walk the track.
Would be amiss if I did not mention,
you will be on my mind throughout this trip.
Know it will feel strange not being on the net,
like hearing water from a faucet,
drip, drip, drip.
Kitty cages are out and ready for travel,
withdrawal jitters begin and we are still here.
Birds have been placed in much smaller cages,
kitties are ready, know they have nothing to fear.
Bushes have been clipped, lawn edged
and mowed,
maybe we will get lucky and sell a few
more books.
Trees have been pruned, last is groceries
we need,
then it is off to relax by a few
babbling brooks.
*With a song in my heart
and a twinkle in my eye
I bid all of you a very sweet bye, bye!

Karen, you will be missed, but think of the wonderful writes you'll be able to share with us when you get back...one about all the places you've visited and been inspired by...I'll miss you.
About 20 years ago packed up a 25' trailer and took off for 14 months to see the sights of the USA. I thought I could see it all in a year but to be honest, I think if I had taken 5 years, I still would not have seen everything. I stopped in every state except Delaware. I drove right through Delaware one night, not realizing it until I was already in the next state. Anyway, have a wonderful trip, it is both relaxing and exciting on the road and to be honest I never really wanted my adventure to end; but it gets a little pricey pulling a rig, so I eventually had to return to real life and back to work. Perhaps when I retireI will do it again, I had a blast and met great people everywhere. Have a safe trip.
