Mother, Hold My Hand

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

My Dearest Mother,

To you my son has
gone home.
Please there to greet
him,
so that he will not
feel so alone.

~*~

Hold him with your
loving arms,
Let him flatter you
with all of his charm.

~*~

I shall be there
in awhile,
So until then please
help him to wear smile.

~*~

I recall what you had
once said,
as you laid upon your
dying bed.

~*~

"That if ever i should
need you,
You would be there to
hold my hand".

~*~

Well dearest mother,
I really do need you
to take hold of my hand.
For i need you to help
me to try and understand.

~*~

Why my son had decided
to give up and die.
For all that i can
do now
is stay in bed and cry.

~*~

My life now feels so
empty, lost and bare.
As far as what should
ever happen to me now,

~*~

Well My Dearest Mother,
I truly no longer care!

heartrending and beautifully written. I know the pain of losing a beloved Mother but cannot imagine what the loss of a child must be like.

{{{{{Trixie}}}}}} Like Theresa and Janet, I can't say I experienced sorrow such as yours. The "why" for so much one must suffer just has no answer. I do know, however, that with your heart-felt poetry you help others to open their hearts. Thank you for that.

Heart-felt I have lost both my parents and many friends that tore at my emotions but to lose a child I can not even begin to imagine such pain.

Trixie, I have no words for you that will help. I know what it is like to lose a mother but not a child so I won't even try to say that I do. I absoultely believe this though that anytime you need either of them, they are with you. I send (((HUGS))) to you. Janet Caldwell
