Under A Coconut Tree

~ Under A Coconut Tree ~
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~



My honey was standing
Under a coconut tree,
Looking as fine as he
Could ever be.

~*~

When all of the Sudden
From out of the blue,
A huge coconut fell
Hitting him hard
Right up side of his head.

~*~

It knocked him right down
On his little bony tail.
That is when I noticed
That his head began to swell.

~*~

Oh how his laughter was
All in total disguise,
For you could see the
Tears flooding up his eyes.

~*~

He so painfully grined
As he then stated,
"You can't hurt steel
For it can only melt"! HA!

~*~

Yet the pain on his face
Was ever so real.
But for the life of him
He would not admit,
Just how bad he truly felt.

~*~

As he stood there looking
So dazed and confused,
A bubble appeared with
A big nasty bruise.

~*~

The moral to this story is.
Never again will one see,
My honey ever standing
"Under A Coconut Tree."

Trixie ... everything you do shines likes the stars. This is so cute that I cried on it. What lovely work you do. I stand in awe of your talent. Gosh there is so much in your mind that your brillance creates each poem. If I remember right, the song is "It's Twilight Time", by the Platters.
