Shadow Of Darkness

As i stood there
in your shadow
I felt the darkness
of your soul.


For I sensed your
fears accept life,
As well as the fears
to accept the unknown.


Please take hold of
my hand.
For i shall guide you
through your darkness.


Pour all of your pain
upon me,
For i shall take it
and cast it all aside.


Please have faith in me.
Allow me to enter into
your darkened soul.


For i shall guide you
towards the light.
I shall help you face
all of your fears.

Upon returning from
this fascinating journey.
You shall return with
such love and courage.


To face and accept all
of the unknown powers.
That you have always
possessed so deep within.

Trixie this is great. I am always drawn to the darker side of poetry, though I don't write about it much. I too like the way you moved from darkness to light. Wonderful!!
