I love to watch the big cats
When they choose their prey
Fascinating games they play
With stealth their maneuvers
Remind me of some males
When they decide to stalk
They sneak up with wily ways
Seduce you with words of praise
You become their number one focus
On which they practice hokus pokus

Some are gifted with clever snares
Magnetism that disperses your fears
You will believe anything they say
Until you are doing all things their way
So enchanted you accept their deceit
Easy conquest you're no longer a treat
Bored they seek more exciting prey
Like bees seeking honey to make their day
Some poets like big cats show their intent
leaving comments that contain their scent

They are quite entertaining, aren't they? But me, I wouldn't want to be near those teeth (let alone those claws! SHEESH! NOT a good idea! LOL)~ Great stuff, Eileen; brava!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Their breath may have something to do with my not wanting to be around those big cats, bet it's pretty darn stinky! LOL

How prophetically you began this poem, Eileen. Thought provoking.
"Like bees seeking honey to make their day" Oooohhh...I like that similitude!

(btw - I won't believe our Tiger would succumb as did the zebra in pic :o)

Yes, good comparison. I believe minxes behave that way too, though they are smaller than lions. Victor

The world's a mighty jungle full of viscious beasts of prey...wary is the the one who recognizes the scent and dodges the fangs of deceit. You are so clever Eileen!

So much for lions, but even they have to drop off to sleep. . . and the little mice they terrorized are the only ones who can chew off the net. (smile). This is a neat rant dispelling all toothless cats.

Big cats might be beautiful to observe
From a distance, but one must remember
we are in their food chain
same with smooth talking con men
keep them at a distance, ignoring their line of crap.
enjoyed your write... Eileen

Awesome, intuitive, and forecasted droppings. This reminds me so much of my Desert Fox Grid Tarot by Sage card, the Beware, knowing the spiritual dung from the dung to get rid of...the cat's meow, Eileen...

Musk...Yep! I've seen the tell-tale marks of their passion testosterone. I've heard theoir roar amd I've seen the play. If they do have substance then they're usually taken. You and me are on the same page tonight Sis.

Susan
