My Terror
I heard the screaming sounds, Sounds like I've never heard before, They seem to be getting closer now, They're on the other side of the door.
The crackling sounds of terror, My heart was beating so, And then I heard the pounding, As it beat violently at the door.
I tried to find a place to hide, I trembled at every thought, I knew within a few short minutes, By this creature I'd be caught.
Silently I watched the shadow, As it slithered towards me, Making me quiver at the thoughts, As I slyly peeped out to see.
Soon the shadow, it came closer, My eyes shut forever more, I almost died from the fearfulness, Until it snuck back out the door.
To weak to come from hiding, I rest to calm the beating of my heart, As I began to straighten up, there it was, The beginning of the start.
My mind had gone a wandering, Like so many times before, My imagination overcome me, As it searched on for so much more.
