How do you heal
A shattered heart?
How do you breathe
When your spirit has fled?

The perfect example of someone, in this case, a woman rising up from the shattering remains of a false love, becoming a much stronger, better person as a result.

In many instances, when we give ourselves away, we have no intention of getting that something back. Hopefully, something else, something better, will come back in return. That's the phoenix within.
The title of this poem couldn't have been more perfect. The rebirth of a person who emerges stronger than before, after the death of a relationship. We live, we learn, and we move on.
