So confused, Torn between regret And righteousness; Were you for real As I had hoped, Or an illusion As I had feared? My heart says one thing, My head says another; Will I ever know for sure? Will I ever again know peace? Probably not For I annihilated that bridge With nuclear precision, Lashing out in fear And pain, Never giving you a chance To defend yourself and To convince me One way or the other. You seem to be going through a lot of spiritual
and emotional analysis, and that moves me away from
being a good reviewer of your compositions.

The poem raises questions but gives no answers, leaving the reader confused as well, although the harsh retort at the end leaves little doubt.
