Cute kid! :) Nice poem, Karen! Could be titled "Precarious Egos"...we all have them, just as we all have opinions, too. Hard to mesh the two without becoming offended. Keep writing!

I would polish it a bit... It would DEFINITELY make a fun, performance piece! Hanley
Karen: Forgive me for the less than desirable rating, which is only meant to address this piece and not your person or other poems. As a literary work, I found this poem hackneyed, overly long (repetitive without saying anything new/could have been tightened), and fraught with sloppy rhyme scheme and meter (also contains a misspelling). Too hastily written, perhaps? For me, these problems work against the humor of the poem. Even parody deserves a little time to distill. I look forward to reading more of your work.
Right to the point!
P.S. no more golden shower for a while o.k.!

Karen,
this is hilarious! What a great poem and so true too!Very inventive and I will give you a ten to be sure!Who is the little general? it's precious! Gregg
::laughs hysterically:: I like this one... I really do. I feel I must clarify a few things, though. I'm going to be incredibly arrogant and claim to have contributed inspiration for part of this poem. You didn't like a piece I wrote. That's fine. Your opinion is appreciated. I left your review in place and swallowed my "1" gracefully. But, really... I don't know what you expect from me. I'm not taking the poem down just because you don't like it. Nor will I cater my writing to your tastes. -I do not write for anyone but myself, selfish as that may sound- But anywho... I liked your poem and I'm sorry to say I agree with most of it. I hope this nonsense has caused no hard feelings because I really respect you as a fellow author.
