On highland ground, MacGregor staked
His claim across the moor
Stone by stone, his castle built
Though warned against it, for

T'was hallowed ground to faery folk
Who lived amidst the rowan
But he built it strong, with mote around
With running water flowin'

MacGregor took an Erin bride
A green eyed celtic beauty
From druid line, to Scotia's shore
And loved her beyond duty

Cautioned not to veture out
The walls built to protect her
Madness raged within the lass
(Reads legend and conjecture)

One moonlit night, in linen gown
Across the drawbridge, lowered
MacGregors wife went running out
Her madness surging forward

MacGregor called in frantic plea
To save his lass from danger
Much too late, she heard his voice
As, captured by a stranger

Into the woods, she disappeard
Not seen again, they say
He died o' broken heart. alas
As lonely bagpipes play

To Be Continued........

* as the years move forward..Jamie MacGregor inherits the family castle. the ghosts of the past and strange happenings cause him to question his own sanity,.....

Hi Krissy,
Can not wait till part two, having rather a close family connection.

The MacGregor name was outlawed in Scotland for over two hundred years on pain of death.
And they were hunted all over the Highlands till the edict was lifted in 1784.
My grandmother a descendent of Rob Roy MacGregor.
Had all the attributes of her name, with her stature, the bright Red hair,A temper that could boil water, and for those who incurred her wrath a tongue that could strip paint from a door at ten paces.
Their motto being.
'S rioghal dhream. "Royal is my race"
