Once upon a weary time
In a land, not, far way
A knight of noble attributes
Puts his sword away

Convictions of a moral stance
Had caused him to forget
The kindoms grattitude of which
He's brought about to it

The gentry and the peasant
Equal, in his eyes
Defended each where wrongs were wrought
Slayed dragons of great size

But worried 'bout the younger folk
How those percieved his deeds
Have seemed out weigh the logic
Of independent needs

His lady, wracked with pain, appeals
In hopes to touch his heart
On bended knees, holds up his sword
With humble tears impart

"I beg thee, not to leave the realm
Take up thy sword and fight
E'en the children of the realm must learn
Between the wrong and write"

"If thou shouldst leave, what difference then
Would thy departure make?
Who then defends the worthy cause
Of freedoms, some would take?"

Unselfishly imploring
His lady thus explains
"Responsibility has it's price
Regardless of domains"

"For truth be known, regardless of
The kingdom or the shire
Where children bent to venture in
Can access any mire"

With dragons lurking in the vales
Just waiting for the knight
His lady raises up his sword
And begs him....stay and fight!
