Sometimes I walk in the darkness
Where only those demons will dare
Lost in the whirl of emotions
That haunt all the recesses there

Perhaps it's the long separation
Could be, I'm just a tad tired
But the clawing within leaves me aching
Gasping for breath, muck and mired

Changes occur every moment
Never the ones we expect
Anticipate nothing and Voila!
You'd be surprised at what you collect

I may be just discontented
The need of you holding me tight
Or perhaps it is winters chill tendrils
