Exalted in the ritual of rebirth
Shall we deny our charge to Mother Earth
To rape, at will, Her accouterments
Leaving scars of punishments?
Will man not ever see the signs
T'was written, told, in caves and lines
Every nation, cultures faith
Reminds us we are reprobate
As any mother, patience limit
May be drawn to angry close
I wonder then, what we'll find in it
Upheaved within her mighty throes
As a Christian, genuflect and adjure
Pagan, burn your incense sweet
Wiccan, call upon the milieus
Druid, consult the stars, entreat
Every faithful in their scripture
Moslem, Buddhist, Shiite, Jew
From every corner, come together
And care for Her, as She's cared for you
It's time to span accros the difference
Clasping hands in unison
For we, are all created equal
In our silent benison
The scars we've left upon our Mother
Deep, entrenched on rugged face
Are we not remiss, to love Her?
For what other is there, in Her place?
*Line upon line, precept upon precept...
we are not here to slaughter one another neither verbally, nor physically. We are created to learn responsibility and tolerance. In the grand scheme of things, mans greed for possessions and power have ultimately destroyed rain forests, leveled mountains, and destroyed cultures. One day, we will be held accountable for our insurrection over nature. As our air becomes more toxic, as plagues are unleashed, as the waters turn bitter, we will, one day become sentient of what we have wasted...my hope and prayer is, that it will not be too late. For our childrens childrens sake... peace..k
