Natures Notes

Oh singer of the field and fold
your laughter echoes ever bold.
You hide beneath the blades of grass
your cricket legs will play the brass.

Above you flies the bumble bee
accompanies you merrily
He buzzes here and buzzes there
his tune he carries everywhere.

Over there beside the pond
sits a frog with rubbers on.
His section in this noisy place
he bellows out his throaty bass.

Last but not least with cries so loud
a fine blue jay will join the crowd.
The echo of his spoken word
throughout the forest can be heard.

I sit here neath this willow tree
and let your music carry me,
on magic wings to lands unknown
where quiet whispers are softly blown.
