Undulating limbs
their burdens release.
Yesterdays storm
interrupts the peace.
Clouds in my way
release and disperse.
On this long country road
part of this winters curse.
Icy north winds
chill to the bone.
Drifts fill the meadows
each one seems a clone.
I turn and I duck
trees toss snowballs at me.
In a cloak like white cotton
It’s me you can’t see.

Great write as always! It snowed here for an hour yesterday. It's suppose to snow again Thursday. Glad you thawed out and wrote something. I like the pictures here. Also, you have a neat my world web-site. your friend Ron
I live in the Adirondack Mountains in New York. We have had so much snow this winter so far that I have decided to wear a red flag on my head I am short and I feel in danger of being lost * grin* thanks for your comments and come on up and make some snow angels with me.
as my twin said, we had snow here in texas, a very rare event, indeed! it brought out the child in us, and we were catchin' snowflakes on our tongues and gigglin' like two little girls! i even managed to fall, but am okay! (tripped, you know; i am NOT graceful! :) ) we even threw a few snowballs at each other, and laughed ourselves silly! but we couldn't tarry, as i had to get ready for church! :) a lovely write about one of my very favorite types of weather..SNOW and COLD!! it was SO nice to get snow instead of RAIN or ICE, which we USUALLY get here in texas! love, your friend, karen lynn. (((((HUGS))))) :)
we got snow yesterday, but compared to those pics, all we got were flurries!
