Forgiveness

A poem written for a poetry class

Forgiveness

Upon this sunlite cloud so high
surrounded by the azure sky
I look to earth and there I see
fallen angels stare at me.

Earthly forms with eyes of blue
beckon to me, “ What do I do
to join you on that cloud so high,
can I do it if I try?

I wink at them and slowly smile
reach out my hand across the miles,
I gently touch those hearts of stone
forgiveness reigns I bring them home.

Greetings Sharron,
It's always a joy for me to discover another poet who writes rhyming poetry, the kind I like best. In this case I guess it was you who discovered me. Thank you for reading my poems. Love the old car, unfortunately I can not tell from the picture the year or even the make. I think cars like that were made long before my time. I love to see these rare jewels of vehicles restored.
