Glimmer Of Hope

As twilight falls on hallowed ground
Before the line of this border brown

As the crimson leaves blow down the lane
Beneath the sea of sweeping rain
That flowed like rivers into the drains

The trees all marched like army men
Blown by wind with sweeping hand
As they fell upon tainted land

Beneath the hum of these city lights
Amongst the stars that burn so bright
Like seeded thoughts within the night
A glimmer of hope before my sight

And dance upon the evening tide
