I am okay. Really. I promise!

This is how this poem came to me. And so I write.

Poem Artwork

I'm so sad, not even lightning ignites my soul,
All I want to do is stay in bed,
The stormy emotions have left a great big hole,
I no longer care...for I am dead.

Tornadoes of sadness, bury me under ground,
Where I will never be found alive,
Let debris cover me, so no one hears the sound
Of a soul trying not to survive.

I crawl outside and raise my hands toward the clouds,
Wait for the strike to kill, quick and neat,
The storm doesn't answer, its silence echoes loud,
And within me, my heart starts to beat...

And I have learned to live with depression and fear,
And so I write, expressing emotion and tears.
