Behold, the man. Trembling hands showed that he was not above us. He traveled to the people right where they lived. Observing him was a lesson in courage. He gave until there was nothing left to give.

He surely did - and he will surely be missed. When he visited Chicago, he insisted that he be taken to the poorest neighborhoods, wanting to see for himself how the poor were forced to live, and praying fervently for an improvement in their plight.

Divine eulogy. Written with such great clarity.. His book. An invitation to joy. Is a work of beauty.

Karla -- you've touched on what it was that was so extaordinary about John Paul II. He knew who he was in faith and yet he used this not to separate him from humanity but to reach all sorts of people, Catholics and others of faith and often those still reaching to find faith. Yes sis, behold the man. The man who travelled the same path as Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Princess Diana. Behold this man who gave so much of himself, that he sould be canonized a saint. We will all miss this man of great courage and bravery, whose only mission, was to speak the word of God, and bring peace to all. May the Lord Jesus bless him and you. and be with him and you always.
