Nothing like coming home after a hard day, when the cold November wind is blowing winter into my soul, knowing that what I saw at the bookstore today will never make it better. But the house that once felt like a home lost its comfort and warmth when you left; all that remains are torn pieces of the poems you once wrote to me after a night of passion, compiled into a bestselling book, dedicated just to me, poems that shouted our love from the rooftops, poems that promised undying devotion, poems that mean nothing now, poems that were lies in metered rhyme, poems that I read by the fireplace every night, poems that I memorized and lived and breathed for...tell me, how many more women have been the inspiration behind your lines? Why do I ask this, you wonder? Because I went to the bookstore and they had a complete collection of your works; mine wasn't the only title there.

Poetic polygamy! Inspiration coming from more than one source. The bookstore is the private detective that has located the evidence of the crime of passion. It is said that "all is fair in love and war." Great subject for a write, Karla. Very thought-provoking!
