New Orleans is recovering and with a wicked lesson learned. In my heart I want to know what happened to the girls who worked for me at the gallery. I will never know as they relocated and some didn't return. It's a loss even from here for me.

Makes me mad, that there is STILL so much devastation. But, New Orleans is putting a lot of money into advertising - to up tourism. I know that's a good thing, but how about using some of that money to rebuild other hard hit areas ... .... ....
It will all return to normal. It just takes a long time! After Camille, it took ten years to get everything back to normal. The people from the Gulf Coast of Katrina and Camille are a very hardy determined bunch. Don't worry all of you! We will return bigger and better! Thank you for the write, Karla.

Yes this is oh so true, but I think slowly but surely as they say. As we know such devastation cannot be fixed overnight that's for sure.
Karla,as I read your presentation the strong voice in this work spoke directly as if we were conversating not to mention the characters presence was quite prevalent.
Touching my friend, my prayer is for everyone's life to return to normal...the devestation to be cleaned up and life to resume as it once was...great write!
