His voice, so powerful, his words,
so vivid, they unfolded like a book
before your ears. Close your eyes:
you could see history turning pages,
your imagination stirred as he told
The Rest of the Story. And now,
his has come to an end: dead, at
the age of 90, radio's Paul Harvey.
I didn't know this! How sad...I have so many childhood memories of hearing his voice say "and now you know...the rest of the story...Good Day..." He will be missed.

Karla, wonderful that you posted this poem. I can remember as a child listening to "The Rest of the Story" somehow one knew he would be around for quite sometime. What he did, he did it well.
thanks for your write. When I heard of his death I kept remembering his report about the woman who was "shot in the fracas." He did this story several days in a row. May have been back in the 50's. He continued the story about what part of a woman is the "fracas". The story said the bullet is in her "yet."
Brought back many chuckles. He was an interesting person.
