Being a dog man...well, I can relate to the lost of a life friend be it a dog, a cat or whatever. Always it will be painful when one of the pack departs...

I love this piece Karla. Yes, pets are members of the family too. I have two dachshunds at home. Actually, they run the god-damned place; but that's another story. Great writing.

Midnight will never be forgotten; that much is true. He may have been only a cat to a lot of people, but to those who knew (and loved) him, he will never be forgotten! Beautiful tribute to the grieving family and especially to a special little furry friend who will live in our hearts forever! Very well penned, and the piccy is perfect!

Although I am not a big cat person, I know people who are and I can certainly see them grieving for the lost of their pets.
