Haven't been around lately.  My
fault, not yours.  Just haven't
felt like writing ---- think my words
have flown south for the Winter.

Haven't felt good.  In pain.  It's all
I can do to get out of bed,
sometimes.  Damn Fibromyalgia.
Taken more than I wanted to give.

Maybe one day I'll be back ----

(c) 2011, Karla Dorman

I can relate to the pain, my arms are just toooo hurting to move, and fingers get stuck (ouch!) You still write with such effective vivid words it is amazing. You can do it.

"The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all." Psalm 34:19-19
Do you believe this Karla? Rise above the pain...don't lay claim or even blame...never give in...use your gift of writing to fight! The count is on...you have the choice to stay down or rise up and let fly...right hook...upper cut...knock-out punch!

Hugs,
Lena

My prayers are with Karla, and I hope you feel better soon. I know the feeling of not wanting to get out of bed because of pain and not being able to write, because sleep like the only thing that kept the pain from hurting too much. Thank you for sharing this private part of yourself. Write when your muse strikes you. We will be waiting.

May the Lord Jesus bless you, and those whom you love, and be with you always, and at your side constantly. With much love in my heart, joy to the world, peace on earth, & ((((((((((((((((MANY WONDERFUL SISTERLY HUGGGGSSSS)))))))))))))))), your littel sister, Barbie

i think it's all cyclical, creative peaks and valleys. most important thing is to take care of yourself, the pen will come later, and it surely will. be good.

Gone are the days when I, too, was a Den Daily, darlin, and I miss the place sorely when I can't be here! Have to say, a fair few have seemed "conspicuous" by their absence lately and I have thought it was just my own point of view or the weather or Christmas or something. Ill health DOES seem to feature heavily, as well as fresh time constraints, but each is sorely missed and the jigsaw just doesn't seem complete without all the much-needed pieces. I am sorry for your on-going battles with the frickin fibro, Karla. I have a smattering of this kind of malady now and again, but not so much that it hampers my lifestyle inordinately. I do pray that this year marks a turning point in some way - perhaps a new drug or therapy breakthrough or, better still, complete healing! Faith springs eternal alongside hope, but I wish you every other blessing besides in this New Year and await your fresh poetic offerings just as soon as they are ready to dawn... And, like the dawn, they will surely appear when they're good and ready! In the meantime, kick back, relax, and know that you are precious and loved even when "quiet". We are keeping your seat warm for you! :)) xx

They make them tough and resilient in Texas Karla. I'm betting you'll rebound quickly and be better than new. As for the writing, when you are under the weather the words just do not seem to come. I know. I bid you love and peace my dear friend. Get well quickly. Jon Michael

I wish there was something that could be done to relieve your pain, Karla; I am so sorry to see you suffering so much! I will keep you in my prayers/thoughts! I love you! Please don't give up writing; even when I am in pain (all the time, though not nearly as bad as you!), or don't feel good, I write. I want to write. I have to write! Just try to take it easy and know that you are missed here!

((( GENTLE HUGS))) and much love, your twin, Karen Lynn. :(

C'mon, Karla. God doesn't give us more than we can handle. I'm right there with you and together we can rise and shine, my friend. Give it that old Texas what for.
