I didn't see the memorial so I don't know who "his" mouth is but, blame the cheerleaders who cheered. I am a gun owner but I am responsible for anything or anyone that I kill. I do think there should be tougher laws on assault weapons.

I missed the Memorial as I could not understand the need for photo ops and knowing who the star of the show would be, I felt it inappropriate. I feel our gun laws are way too lenient and their should be some kind of control as to who should have them but I somehow cannot see how anything can change.

Karla, you're so right, I felt this memorial was more of college sporting event than what it was meant to be, a solemn memorial. The cheering and clapping was very much out of place. As for guns, I do not own one, but, as the old saying goes, "When guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns."

the establishment will use this to demonize the first and second amendments. i actually am a firm advocate of the 2nd amendment. the founding fathers put that in there for a reason. they knew that without an armed citizenry to act as a final check and balance on tyrannical government, the government would eventually enslave its people and oppress them. this is not opinion, it is fact borne out time and again through history. case in point, mexico-- they have some of the strictest gun laws in the world and look at them! a failed narco state with some of the worst violence and higheset murder rates in the world. the criminals and psychos and wing-bats will always find a way to secure a weapon. it's the disarmed citizens who then are defenseless in the face of tyrannical government and corrupt crime syndicates who will always resort to violence by duress to enforce their agenda. no, you're not crazy. i feel the same way you do. responsibility to the responsible plain and simple, full stop. but do you see how the system works now? this guy left a bright media trail of hints that he was psychopathic and possibly dangerous, yet nothing is done. nothing is ever done. they let the person commit the crime, then legislate against ALL OF US using the crime as pretext for the next round of civil rights stripping and tyrannical control. their answer is always more power, more centralization, more demonization of legitimate opposition. they need to get the last bits of the police state in place as they engineer the final economic collapse. pathetic to watch how they try and pin the blame for this on sarah palin (establishment puppet used to co-opt tea party movement), or ron paul supporters and advocates of sound money! predictable, sad and best of all, BACKFIRING!! they haven't rolled this out yet; but rememeber this. i will be surprised if, as the blaming of the right wing begins to fizzle, they don't start suggesting that the gunman was radicalized on the Internet (more control for Internet) and the cherry on the cake, someone will most assuredly suggest that they now need to roll out the naked TSA body-scanners into the shopping plazas, as the incident went down at a Safeway. damn, what's taking them so long? this is the perfect opportunity; you know it's headed that way anyhow! okay, you've set me off. i almost wrote a poem exactly like this myself; but i get so worked up and feel like people just don't want to hear it. so i save it for friends and family instead. don't you feel lucky?? take care karla, much love always.
