the horror

the horror suddenly invades
the horror permeates, pervades
the horror felt around the world
the specter of terror unfurled

the horror of where it strikes next
the horror hard to predict--complex
the horror--just who is involved?
the questions not easy to solve

the horror of torn, bleeding men
the horror shows in their eyes, then
the horror repeats on the news
it's shown in technicolor hues

the horror of rubble filled streets
the horror--bodies under sheets
the horror doesn't seem to end
is this a start of some new trend?

the horror--killing each other
the horror--brother 'gainst brother
the horror just doesn't make sense
the situation is intense
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

the horror--we must stop it...NOW
the horror--anyone know how????

No human can stop it but thank God we can counteract it to some extent by doing as much good as we can in this world. Thanks for another thought provoking poem. - Vic
