What we, The People, deserve
to know: whatever happened
to transparency? Concealed
so prying eyes won't see and
hidden within pet projects:
BOTH PARTIES GUILTY of this.
No wonder no one trusts you,
our illustrious Congress.
Flying under the radar,
you celebrate victory
and pat yourselves on the back
for another job well done.

Strutting around like peacocks,
patting each other on the
back, congratulating each
other for a job well done,
talking about how they worked
together. RIGHT. Another
lie: they fought like cats and dogs
to pass a temporary
measure to avoid default.
11th hour saviors.
They'll be back at it again
soon enough, when the dust clears.
Politics as usual.
