what IS a buckeye i've heard some people ask well, sit down right there (you've put me to the task!) yes, sit over there and i'll try to explain what a buckeye is (they will think i am inSANE!) the little buckeye comes from the buckeye tree grown in ohio ('course, NATURALLY!!) it's hard, shiny, dark it is a little nut ain't got much use, though... it's poisonous, but this little buckeye reminds me of my home i still carry mine wherever i will roam s'posed to have good luck it's with me all the time i've had mine for years... this little buckeye, mine this little buckeye represents state football the best in the land... they are the best of ALL!! --------------------------------------------------------------------------
i'm homesick... born and raised in ohio (mansfield area), been in texas twenty years this year. haven't been home in a while. i miss ohio... i miss my folks, most of all (they still live up there)...i miss the changing of the seasons...i miss the fall colors...i miss the snow (all we get 'round here is ICE)...i miss basements (i live in tornado alley...they don't HAVE basements here...not even a storm cellar...something's wrong somewhere...)...i miss cedar point (the best amusement park in the WORLD)...i miss the ohio state buckeyes!!!! snif i HOPE i get to go home for a visit this summer. keep me in your prayers...and thanks for puttin' up with me... (((HUGS))) and love, karla. :(

:) Uh-oh, we've got buckeyes that grow in Indiana too :) I used to carry one around with me and try to figure out what it was too! ha ha ha. LOVE Cedar Point. Haven't been there in many years though.
