(Not a single turkey Gave a nip nor a tuck)
Barnyard turkey life Had simply run amok Not a single turkey Gave a nip nor a tuck. Thaddeus was resolute Again to save his hide He'd hidden last November Behind sacks of pesticide. Margaret MacBride Who owned the big barnyard Had other plans for Thad That she'd not discard. Wednesday came cold and gray And Thad passed near some hay In a flash sprang old man Baker-- One more tom sent to his Maker.

Oh my, I loved this one...made me laugh my father inlaw raises turkeys every year and it seems that there is always one who just does not want to leave the farm...do you blame him? Great and funny write my friend, made me laugh this morning and we need more laughter, keeps us young.
