Gone Is Our Lisa

HERE I'M FEELING POE-ISH?

 

Gone is our Lisa and her beautiful legs
I’ll never forget the time
We all were over to Aunt Pat’s place
And voted to enjoy the brine
 
When Lisa removed her terry there
More than one of us stared
Legs like hers were pricey gems
To touch them few souls dared
 
Lisa’s face was also cute
It housed a tiny nose
Her smile was wide, always quick
And pleasant, like a rose
 
Oh Lisa, you’ve left us, gone with your jewels
They’ll never again wade the surf
And to think there’s nothing any can do—
No sea lies beneath your turf!

Where has she gone. Former childhood loves we never trace, but some do, not I though. Good dreamlike write.

...to insure...that ones legs might have been around forever...might have proven to be costly...yet the poetic thoughts of one so enamored...insure her memory forever.
