Enduring Feelings

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My enduring feelings for you will never decay
The glitter of time
Keeps them polished in my heart
Like untainted diamonds
They retain beauty and everlasting form
Love and trust are gems
Given to us before time began
As we were conceived
In the womb of growing stars
Like unblemished moments
Of budding shape
Never wilting
Always blooming
To the rhythm
Of intimate
And miraculous dreams
Love and dreams... memories no one can take from us... part of who we are and what we will become... it is a miracle...
In us we carry the essence within and whatever the form, the light within the rock, and the garden within the seed, or immortality beyond the perishable. So, we are supernovas of love, through dream planting universes and treasures, enduringly, within and from whatever black holes.
Those whom we love, remain forever in our heart and neither time nor situation will ever change that truth. True love is about touching souls and has little to do with physical presence. This is excellent and so very emotive, Robert. Simply put, it is a wonderful read.
Take care,
Sherry
This one comes from the heart right to the heart and I almost feel like I am trespassing on you and your lover's conversation. As the other comments suggest Robert this is love and it says it all.
Soft and gentle as a knowing sigh; caressing as a companionable silence in which nothing needs be said. I love the quietness in this. Timeless as an eternity ring, an everlasting bond. This is a multi-faceted simplicity that sends rainbows into hearts. Reminds me of the subtle tenacity of the seed that is blooming in the desert and sends another meteorite shower of Aurora Borealis into the soul! Good grief, I sound more surreal than your poetry, but I like the way you follow through your thread of thought in the opening line, suggesting that feelings will not "decay" - although they may die and be reborn in metamorphosis somehow, according to your previous poems. This leaves me feeling peaceful. TY Kate xx
Beautifully emotive and written. Like Chanti, I believe you can't lose love. In addition, I don't believe you ever fall out of love either. Things may not work out for you and that someone sometimes, but if you do love (not to be confused with lust, etc) they always hold some part of your heart. Wonderfully expressed poem here, yet again. ;) Silver
Dear Jude,
Another 'miraculous' poem from a heart that has experienced love and has captured the essence of its lingering nature in words. I believe you cannot lose love. It is a gift that endures through the passage of time. Thank you for this poetic gem...
