Dream Scene (j) ... The Spacious Cantina

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In my dream I was falling through clouds
The wind blowing my hair wildly:
Air rushing past my ears
Like the roar of a cargo train
Traveling inside an endless tunnel
Through caverns inside my nomadic brain
I saw a small villa
High upon a mountainside
And rapidly approached
Closing in
Like a magnetic target
Toward these long and wiry iron gates
They opened up so slowly
Like in a slow-motion movie
With thunder roaring in the distance
And lightning flickering the darkened terrain
The villa transformed into a small cantina
Inside what appeared to be a ghost town:
Tumble weed and dusty shadows
Popped in and out of view
The cantina’s swinging doors opened
Beckoning me inside
Where voices intensely crescendo
Like a impassioned opera
I was pulled in as is if I had wheels on my feet:
No control over my movement
Only apprehension consumed my will
Once inside,
Colorful Flamenco dancers suddenly appeared
As guitars, shouts, hand clapping and finger-snapping
Satiated the atmosphere
I was invisible
Behind curtains
Wandering through long corridors
Compelled to move further into the dark labyrinth:
Moving ahead with determined curiosity
Realizing I was dreaming
I saw a new born lying on a field of grass
Pointing to the sky above
I now appreciated I was in the entrance
To tomorrow morning’s bounty
Well, it looks like the analysts have you covered. ;-) It's quite a read. I need to reduce my stress level and get back to such dreams.
The dream analyst's are going to have a field day with this one Robert...superb imagery, your 'Spacious Cantina' is abound in sub-conscious brilliance...methinks new a level consciousness is born.
Finally a sense of spirituality permeates this dream scene
and the birth of a new dawn is especially splendid!
You crafted this with superb descriptions, a pleasure to
Loved the color and motion of your dream. Your descriptions drew me in completely, and I especially like the image of the newborn and the idea of "tomorrow morning's bounty." Fascinating.
I really loved the images, Robert, particularly the "wheels on your feet" part. I was envisioning R2-D2 actions in a human body with all his twisting and spinning. I also was envisioning the town of Tombstone with its wooden sidewalks and the sound of boots and spurs echoing as Cowboys strolled along. This was a treat of vibrant visions and so very much like a dream that I wondered, for a moment, if I was perhaps dreaming it all myself.
Take care,
Sherry
Wow this one is deep and special I'm thinking of gunfighters, cold beer and ladys of the night and that dissappears to be replaced by children in fields of grass. Good one.
