You would make a good troubadour, Jude... can't you see the little flotilla in your wake, running up their white sails left, right and centre?! :)) For some strange reason this reminds me of The Owl and The Pussycat: "Pussy said to the Owl, 'You elegant fowl! How charmingly sweet you sing!' - but that's us Brits for you! Does anyone actually know where the land of the Bong-tree is?! This is truly a romantic look at love and yearning. You captured well the early stages of hoped for romance and could equally apply to reawakening of lost love. So many possibilities with this one Jude.
Anticipation is the best form of foreplay. The stage is set, a few finishing touches like a glass of wine in beautiful and romantic setting, a showering of attention and all the makings for a memorable evening will be in place. Excellent images in this poem, Robert, a wonderful way to greet my sleepy morning eyes and jump-start my day.

Beautiful poetry, building up the anticipation to being in each other's arms. I especially liked this line - "Swaying the tides inside our vernal hearts".
