Love is beautiful and bright and shining as the sun and always with us even in death of someone loved dearly. We never leave a loved one behind, just separate for awhile but always keep them in our hearts. Such profound writing and loved to read it. Good words said to all about love.
I liked the symbols used in this poem...imagery is spectacular...a skyscape and a seascape are humanized, while a landscape is etherealized. Narrative has both feminine and masculine sections, suggesting of androgynous soul. A very passionate poem, Robert!
yes jude...i know this feeling all too well. regardless of where they are, they are always inside us, and yet we feel it as if their essense were pressing on us from the outside. wonderful poem. ~ sara
... the title made me think of my Elizabethan hearths, flames seeming to gobble massive oaks whole! Goodness me - out of the frying pan and into the fire, finding shelter within the heat of the storm of this meteor shower... no wonder stars melt and seas vaporise! Sounds like you have found your never-ending source that will fuel you forever... even if it IS at a distance. It's a shame therefore that such deep impact would appear to be a past event - but the effect of it is obviously eternally ongoing, like an unceasing kinetic energy. It's just my warped mind at work, but the first five lines made me think of the radiotherapy I am facing this week! I shall be able to light up the whole of our street come Christmas! :)) Just adore the firey passion in this, its confident proclamation and the sense of ongoing endurance. An aurora borealis in my very dark northern sky tonight... LOL K xx
a lover? a mother? a deity? the sun itself? that's the thing about your finesse with poetic expression, I think; it rises above attempts to categorize it neatly and expands like a warm sun sometimes when the reader is "a million miles away" and least expects it. Dawn
Straight from the heart and onto the page! This is a wonderful romantic write, Jude. There are those who capture our soul and we are never independent from them again. Their "fire" often goes further than just the romantic aspect of their personality, which can interfere with the other parts of a relationship, but the way that they burn themselves into our heart places their brand upon our soul for eternity. Excellent work!
Take care,
Sherry

"Within the embrace of your fiery heart
And the warmth of your succulent soul
Even when I am a million miles away
You are always burning brightly inside my life"
Her sovereignty is not restricted to the night sky, and solar activity is included under her title of "Shining One." There are traces of her, Anahita, in Egypt and Babylon. She rides through the sky, dressed in gold on a chariot driven by four horses named wind, rain, hail, and cloud. Perhaps she has awoken the warrior aspect in Jude, the sun god, the modern-day equivalent to Erlik, the "Valiant One." The Shining One and the Valiant One go together quite well, don't you think?

You do romance very well, I wish we could read more of it. There is no one that writes from the soul as well as you do.
Stunning poetry.
