Much Wisdom herein, Jude. Our point of power is the present, as Seth/Jane Roberts would say. VEry much enjoyed this pensive read.
Peace and Blessings,

Losing to find... letting go to receive... good, init??!! :))
Like this "outside the box inside" write, Jude. Like an extended matrix where the trajectories actually meet beyond the peripheral. "Now" is literally all the actual time there is, but within that I still believe that absolute truth exists that does not shift with tides and the temporal. BUT, it is like a hologram that appears differently according to how light shines upon it - whilst remaining "true" to itself... does that make sense? I know what I mean, anyways! :)) This is a bit of an ouroborus write, I think... circular, losing those sacred thoughts in order to exceed them and to run free within them, no? An elliptical vortex of a philosophical write, TY Kate xx
This one is tightly woven with winning words, on a perennial theme: A dog's life. Fortunately, we humans plan and scheme, and somehow, create enough reserve from hunting and gathering to winter without hibernationm and write poetry about relax, and float downstream.
I have a hard time living in the now. I always look to tomorrow. My life is a like a chess game; always planning the next move and how to control the movements of those around me. Sick I know. It comes from having an analytical mind. I cannot leave things alone. It takes a concerted effort for me not to control. Quite often though I make mistakes. Or rather miscalculations.
Great Gestalt wisdom, Jude! Live in the here and the now. I am a practitioner of Frederick Perls Gestalt Therapy which walks upon two legs, the now and the how. Now covers all that exists, the past is no more, the future not yet. How covers everything that is structure, behavior, all that is going on now. Everything is grounded in awareness.
ALTHOUGH, I live in the here and the now on these terms, this being a quote from my review for Kate B's poem, San Mistico or Monky Man she wrote in close union with my poem in December, We Built This City.
"Do you think though it has to do with reincarnation? I live in the Middle Ages and 18th Century more than in today. With those walls and structures in mind when I wrote We Built This City, I had the de ja vu thingie. I was referring to Machu Picchu bringing the limestone poets and sandstone novelists together in collective unconscious. I could actually hear the conversations and smell the sweat of those perspiring bronzed people, especially of our "lead poet."

We live on two levels---the public level in which is our doing, which is observable, verifiable, and the private stage, the thinking stage, the rehearsing stage where we prepare our roles of who we want to play. I enjoyed Sacred Thoughts very much, lead poet.

Wise spiritual words of sharing. Now is where i flow whether I understand it or not :-)
This caused me to pause and re read several times as it touched a nerve somewhere in my soul. It is true sometimes the easy path is to give up, hide, ignore or suffocate our dreams and ideals when we feel the work to get them is too hard. This poem is a great reminder to stick to them and fight for what we want and believe.
Excellent words, Jude. This reminds me of the verse that says "pray without ceasing." To me this means having an attitude of thankfulness, joy and thinking about others. To me, thinking positive thoughts are prayerful.
Robert my friend, as usual you have put a very complicated philosophy into a few words and made it undersandable. Life has taught me that the only thing I really control is my reaction to what happens in life. Good poem from a fine poet.

I think that though we need to be aware of what goes on around us, we must also understand that there is very little which lies within our ability to change it. It is important to be flexible and to never lose focus of our destiny and our sense of right and wrong, no matter what is going on in our world. Nice one , Jude!!
Take care,
Sherry
Yeah! Robert, your words are always impactual. Your writing is so full of wisdom and insight that "sacred" in a very deep sense...someone who is in touch with life and the sacred. Thank you for sharing....
An "aha!" moment, Jude. Like you picked up on my thoughts in the current and I'm fairly jumping at the shock of recognition. Fantastic write! YES! Big hug...Lin
I don't find that a very plausible route to take when you delve into why we are here. Just to exist from day to day and take it as it comes, seems fruitless when we don't see anymore in our life beyond our own thoughts and what is to be looked forward to at the end of it. But some people do accept this reasoning.
This is my personal inspirational book of poetry. It contains many poems written for family, friends, and relevant life situations. Hopefully you will find some that will encourage and inpsire you in whatever arena you are found in your circle of l
