You have captured the true essence that is Haiku in this stunning beauty, Jude. This reminds me of a photography class I once took in Death Valley, Ca. where there is a most amazing area of sand dunes. We placed a naked model amid the dunes and let our shutters fly. The sand moved in the breeze like the rippling waves of the ocean covering her then revealing her again, creating a living portrait set against the amazing backdrop of the desert. Thank you for re-awakening those memories for me and thank you for this most inspiring and beautiful Haiku.
Take care,
Sherry
Naked Sand Dunes eh, hmmmm never thought of a Sand Dune in that way, but I guess they arent clothed are they. Triffic write about my favourite place to play in the summer, when not ripping it up in a dune buggy lol.
So little so much yes. Mind you you gotta watch out for ppl ( you know) in them, struth some beaches have laws to protect ppl getting run over ROFL
Oye como va, Karlos!! :)) Good to hear that we are still all in the party spirit this morning and just seeing what comes along, what turns up... quite a lot, by the look of things! Nice to know that you've still got time for a quick one on your busy vacation - poem, that is... Who does your nip'n'tuck, then?? (Yes, Andy TUCK!!) Ho-de-ho :)) As it happens, Shell Bay, where the pic of the houseboat was taken, has a thriving Nudist community, so guess a life-preserver IS all you need. Anyways, like Ed I am looking elsewhere... at your feet!! But yes, you've caught the indolent and sensual nature of the shimmering dunes in the breeze nicely here - deliciously cool in those hidden hollows where the sun don't usually shine: privacy certainly NOT guaranteed, though! :)) Rude health on display here. A flushed and cheeky write... make sure they don't burn! faKtor50 K xx
Wow what a magnificent image you have created with just a few simple words and you are so right, sand dunes always have brought to my mind images of a woman's soft warm curves. Well done Jude.
Still Living on my Feet is the follow up to Tichaona Chinyelu’s first book, In the Whirlwind, which was rooted in a sense of hard-hitting revolutionary black love. However, in this sophomore effort, Tichaona brings the revolutionary essence from deep
