~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I sit alone on this jetty
Looking out
To where the sea touches the sky
Thinking of the love
Beyond the dual horizon
I embrace life’s timeless winds
Arriving onto shores
Of creative design
Growing within everything
And flourishing within all
And listen to a solar orchestra
Performing a masterpiece
Of stellar bodies dancing through space
Traveling across a sea of constant light
How strongly I can feel
What can never leave me
It is the entire universe resonating
With the hum of love
And the motion of being alive
Yet sitting on this jetty
The clamor of a poisoned ocean
And the roar of an impure world
Hide from view
The untouched visions of their origin
Robert ...
Such a vision you have molded here.
"And listen to a solar orchestra
Performing a masterpiece
Of stellar bodies dancing through space
Traveling across a sea of constant light"
This is the stuff of a visionary. One who has the ability to fine-tune his spiritual eyeballs to "see" what others don't. Such colors flow from your pen. Here at lunch today, this poem was my desert.
Gracias ...
What is focused in on by the eye
Will describe the mood of the beholder
We can blink
And just that quickly
Change what we think
But what have we done
'Duel Horizon'
Looking at what's been swept under the rug
Made my heart tug.
With the hum of love
And the motion of being alive
Your final lines are harsh, pitiful and true. Thank you for reminding us of the beauty that is so often hidden!
There is something very soothing about being by the sea, that primal presence who laps at our window. Waves of joy wash away the pools of sorrow and hey, you can see clearly again. Wordsworthian reflections from a golden eye. Jude the Seer! :-) k
Like you, Jude, the ocean is the ancestral origin of life---inexhaustable and latent with potential, a metaphor of unfathomable wisdom with which the lead poet shares with Dual Horizon, transforming sea and man from calm to frenzy in a matter of minutes...you have the "inner equipment" to monitor your environment from sitting on the bleached skeleton of driftwood contemplating and seeking reassurance that science, philosophy, religion, and matters of the heart have some practical application in which you can meet the horizon with quill, ocean, sun, moon, and star...
The beautiful/ugly condition that is so prevalent in our vision today. I know we've always had the duality, but I think with all the peril , and our understanding that it is real,(finally) we have opened our third eye to capture a full view. I've started a poem on this but it's difficult...Splendid poem Jude!
