~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wrapped up
In the expression
Of faceless memories
Beyond experience
Returning to life
You are
The Dreamer
And you’ll always know
What is best for you
And no one else can release you
Into the threshold
You are daring to unfold
The mesh we create, as our minds reiterate
Then oneday we find,
"So, this my life?
We are the only ones that can let go...
and then we can continue on toward that dream
Great ponder~ Enjoyed...
So much better than those Viagra ads! ROFL!
I hope you feel better soon, Jude, I wondered what had become of you. One of the most profound lines I have ever read was..."Only the dreamer can change the dream." You have put this thought, seamlessly, into an amazing verse.
Take care,
Sorry you're under the weather Robert.
Hope you'll be 100% in no time. I remember my mother would keep me hunkered down, sucking down chicken noodle, drinking orange juice and water, moping my brow lovingly with a moist washcloth, and singing hymns of encouragement.
I know we're too old for doting mothers now - gosh mine passed on - but its a nice memory anyway. Mothers were pretty doggone smart. Good thoughts in your poem.
Get well soon, you.
The knowledge is great if it chooses to unveil itself, but engagingly frustrating if it keeps its identity covered. And at least the understanding that you may have "travelled that road before" is a comfort, and a key - even if as yet unrecognised. And it must have been a GOOD experience, if the cognisance of it returning brings life with it. Makes me think what it must be like to suffer amnesia - how scary and yet how thrilling to make fresh discoveries about yourself in a new way, without all the old baggage littering the path. And yep, no one can do it for you. Perhaps you are to return to that old road less travelled again, and take the road not taken this time, RF!
Carbolic and camphorated oils for you, me lad... K xx
