Madden Voyage

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Usually I respond to the madden voyage
You journey upon when turmoil opens its ports
When the tide is in retreat
And the winds blow in distasteful air
When constellations rearrange
And the compass is broken
And the crew is considering mutinous acts
Usually I sit back and listen to your harangue
Marooned in angst and sinking in despair
And watch you genuflect to Mars
As you twirl your hair in the air
Such a labor of will I must admit
To be carried on sails of such tumultuous fit
But then you’re cool
And the coil has let out
I say to myself,
That’s what friends are all about
Casually remembering
Those better moments
... first there's the cushion aimed at your head... then, two seconds' later, her shoe.... After that, the kiss and the hug to make it all better!! :)) Methinks you are an accomplished vine-dresser, Senor, knowing well that the harder the rain, the softer the fruit and the greater the yield in your vineyard of women! Love it! LOL Kate xx
It seems to me that the writer knows the battles in which
to engage himself in and those battles in which to avoid.
To prefer the better moments over the bitter ones, is most
wise.
