~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
We became attached to our dreams lifetimes ago
When rivers were first being carved
Into the surface of our thoughts
And forests were lush and deep
With the panorama of fusing souls
When stars commenced
To form from the darkness
Enveloping the space between our hearts
And light transformed from the memory
Weaving through patterns of our lives
Your image was engraved into my soul
From the very beginning
Before the mockery of the heavens
Before your manifestation resembled mine
Before the tired decided to sleep
We remained awake
Evading the semblance of time
By doing so
Transformed the credence of our longings
And by mere happenstance
Defined the cosmos we seek
Love this world-within-worlds write, pre-dating time itself. Pristine and rich, and latent with the pent-up energies of possibility and potential. Consciousness calling into existance the material world. Very existential. Yes, moment is a mockery if there is no need of sleep to subdivide date and time. So do longings fit into the temporal scope of things? By the name alone, they must be as yet, unfulfilled. Standing outside of time, I can appreciate the perceived ability to define the world within it... but by happenstance?? Even outside of time, isn't everything subject to The Blueprint of Cosmic Design? Sherry's comment blows my mind, about the miracle of soulmate actualisation in any given lifespan. And well, well what Sage says... Signs, symbols and mirrors that are rapidly becoming clear glass panes. Your key lines are like the most beautiful tattoo of the heart. Totally indelible. And your beautiful words are like unforced streams flowing from a well-spring of life itself. Fertile and uncorrupt. Arcadian, TY Kate xx
Reflective tapestry. A sojourn through the forests of our minds using all that is natural to describe the terrain, nothing tarnished by the hand of man. We can reflect on the natural beauty, even climactic conflicts and calamities of existence.
Do we reflect enough on life?
Soulmates from the beginning of time:
"Your image was engraved into my soul
From the very beginning"
This poem is packed with acute images of love so powerful that even the "semblance of time" is evaded. "Mere happenstance" can change the course of the cosmos, or redefine it. -Outstanding and introspective write. Kudos!
A soulmate comes to us based on archetypal patterns in our psyche. I truly believe a soulmate is formed in the collective unconscious. Reflections digs into intrigue of patterns and symbols that make their way into our daily life, our thoughts and interactions with a soulmate. It is my belief inborn psyche establishes a soulmate long before we make a connection with the "One." It happens in later life when we most appreciate it. If you feel the "Other," your soul connection, then you are right. A soulmate helps one towards that path of healing, ultimately, the healing of, and the fulfillment of one's own self starts within one, and one's attitudes. Reflection could have been written many centuries ago from an age-old astronomer who used cosmic terms, synastry, yods, trines, ascendants and descendants, but then you know this, Jude, "We remained awake Evading the semblance of time."
Masterfully penned, Jude, you bring the complexity of the soul mate to a new level. Perhaps it is so that that bond transcends all of time and if, indeed, that is so, the physical realization of it in any lifetime is nothing short of miraculous.
Take care,
Sherry
