~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I listened to your footprints move across the page of my thoughts
seemingly unaware of my presence
concealed between the metaphors and images
I became juxtaposed in the cradle of your synapses
watching as you left impressions in the soil of my muse
like a voyeur whose intentions were easily straddled by a hidden agenda
watched you pretend not to be there
even as my psychic surveillance camera revealed you leaning over my words
I could almost touch the face of your feedback
as you turned sensing someone around you
fooled, you continued to read, listening to the breeze
passing through lines and breaks
considering the affect of vaporous meanderings
seeping through the window of a prosaic pulse
assured you had covered your tracks
you continued to read on, seemingly unnoticed
You take us somewhere, suggest an atmosphere and presence, but the end remains open and I really like that. The reader's imagination is really stimulated by all the clues you left there for them.
I like how you've done this...powerful, yet playful...written as though I were privy to your mind and its train of thought. You are one heck of a writer, Jude.
Ethereal muse that takes different shapes, forms, and even rudiments of poetry has a soft human touch, but do I also sense some existential struggle on this page! Fanbloodytastic!
Sometimes, I feel the same way as your poem expresses. I feel your energy in your comments to my work, and I want to just reach through my computer screen to touch you.
This is an intriguing perspective Jude. A marvelously conceptual Allhallows Eve work! From now on, I promise that I'm going to read your words under the covers at night with a flashlight. (-:
Ah, the quantum of solace that accompanies the knowledge that we all know what we know when we know it! Us poets are all black panthers hiding out in the trees, Kartero; goes with the territory. Besides, think this will do very nicely as your broomstick-y entry for your Acts Of Flight, you old spook! :)) Delightfully tender, on the one hand, with tone and language that would indicate the Voice teasing a small, inquisitive child, longing to reach out and caress that wide-eyed, concentrating face; on the other, there is the sense of the cool calm of the Trapper, baiting his trail. Reminds me to re-hash a poem I wrote called The Haunting for Halloween. But right back at ya, Kiddo, with my Ghost Writer from August 2005: seems like the infraReds bin Under The Bed for a long, long time! Can I have a Treat now, please?! SherloK8 xx
From the seam of the curtain that surrounds our solitude, the eyes of the world watch our every move, hear our every word, know our every thought. The energy flows and we become a crystal magnifier that passes that energy onto the next station. Yep, I am watching you, unaware that you are also watching me. Love this one, Jude.
Take care,
Sherry
I hope it wasn't one of those nosy Halloween pumpkins that gave itself away by the lighted candle inside! because it it wasn't, run man, run like the wind, because it was a witch with bad intentions, not a Muse.
watching him watching me i allowed him to think me
unaware, but how could i not be intoxicated by his
unique ability to immerse himself into my synapses
ah the exquisite touch of such a master, his words
crawl up my senses leaving me no defenses and in
the blink of an eye knowing that i knew,his muse
unearthed my core and no way would i spoil what
he so wonderfully planted in my soil...Trick or Treat...
Sexy surveillance...those blue lines on ruled notebook paper are really wired "bugs"...veins of intelligence sporting an erection taking dictation in long hand...if you remember Neil Young's Transformer Man...and I know you do...your muse's ringtone...
Transformer man, transformer man
You run the show
Remote control
Direct the action
with the push of a button
You're a transformer man
Power in your hand
Transformer man, transformer man
Transformer man, transformer man
Sooner or later you'll have to see
The cause and effect
So many things still left to do
But we haven't made it yet
Every morning
when I look in your eyes
I feel electrified by you. Oh yes.
Transformer man, transformer man
Transformer man
Still in command
You're eyes are shining on a beam
Through the galaxy of love
Transformer man, transformer man
Unlock the secrets
Let us throw off the chains that
Hold you down.
Transformer man, transformer man
Sooner or later
you'll have to learn
The cause and effect
So many things still left to do
But we haven't made it yet
Every morning
when I look in your eyes
I feel electrified by you. Oh yes.
Transformer man, transformer man
Transformer man, transformer man...
I am watching...ah yes, a voyeur! Simpatico!
Love,
Sage
A Frail Turbulence
As I walk this dirt road
Wandering footstep by my side
It was close to midnight
Goosebumps covered my skin
Knowing someone totally invisible
Is walking along with me
With this frail turbulence deep within
I could feel the dampness of the night
Steady the rhythm of my footsteps bare
And through wide-open space I stare
Stars shining down on me
And from the deepest part of my soul
Within every fiber of my mortal heart
I could feel you’re close to me
I listen to the screechy sound of nature
As little frog’ babble along
A tweak here and a clapping sound there
That sounds like a lovers song so sweet
Tranquility surrounded by darkness
With lingering thoughts to ponder
And this frail turbulence deep within
I saw an owl fly away
Wishing I could fly from this live’ blunder
To be where I can be at peace
Within the arms of…another
To experience the frail turbulence
Gotta love your poem better :)!!
Yip I am watching you too!!
Love Tinka
