identity orphans

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
they claim to hear the inaudible:
a resounding predisposition
to conceptualize decibels of imperceptible action,
strategically maneuvered to evaluate life’s redundant surroundings-
embryonic offspring, born through vanishing eons of fruition
and herded together, by an impulse to compose
the greatest optical illusion of faith and perception ever seen,
the dreams of mankind-
- identity orphans searching for their true names:
insisting to decipher their symbiotic, reticent origins
from contrapuntal fluctuations of motion and expression
gathering into a greater network of being; unearthing
methods of speaking clearly without a tongue.
unbridled lips, consuming distant aromas
from a cup of clandestine calibrations,
calculating how many curative gulps of creative endeavor
will resuscitate the sacrificial spirit of mankind
coupled by the duplicity of vociferous vibrations
emanating from expectation:
courting forces of survival,
eventually surrendering to the great magnetic pull
My spin on this poem is that there are people out there wanting to fix and change the world but eventually give up and the world changes them. If so, how true. How many individuals have changed the course of all mankind and kept it on that new path? Any names? Many try and fail.
Couldn't resist the title of this one, then after reading it happily understood why. Enough said I think. Gracias,
Perhaps it's your use of language, but I struggle to see how peeps have read any sort of negative connotation into this; rather than "the widow's mite", I see instead "the pearl of great price". But then, perhaps I am left-handed strange! :)) Nothing shallow or empty about these precious beings, they might appear to be the ones who, unseen, pick up on all the preternatural vibes and weave them together into the Song Of The Universe, fixing the holes in the nets of the dreams of men who aspire to an existance that is once again built on the strong foundations of mutual giving, and of the reaping of blessings for the good of the whole. Hearing the inaudible, conceptualising the imperceptible, speaking without tongues, these beings are "orphaned" by their desire, perhaps, to gift themselves to the task of global resuscitation, breathing life and love back into the creaking foundations of the universe. Scriptural faith is described as "being sure of things hoped for and certain of things as yet unseen". Jesus might be said to be one of these "identity orphans" in view of his human lineage. He had no doubt whatsoever, however, that he was the Son of the Living God. And I don't doubt it, either. But, as for the rest of us who feel this "magnetic pull", we just get by, survive, in fact, on our vociferous vibrations that keep hope and truth alive. We are spiritual refugees and evacuees for certain sure, Kartero, tagged and numbered, but with our unique names engraved on the palms of God's hands. No wonder we reach out across infinite time and space, palm to palm... Blimey, I'm waxin poetic. All this talk of gravity and relationships reminds me to post a humourous (by contrast!) little ditty wot I wrote a week ago... PerkyTerky to you, Dude. Kontrapuntal Kate xx
Oh! how many of those self proclaimed oracles surround us, then again, we are the ones which can close our eyes and become deaf to false pictures and Circe's songs, yes, we are.
Georg
PS: Jude, you are going to confuse a lot one of my brothers!
Definately scratching deep into the sensibilities of the minds of poets and thinkers, this one forces the mind to work overtime but in the end leaves lingering ideas to think about.
They are the walking shells that inhabit so much of our planet. No thought given to the consequences of their actions and no touch on reality for the future that they fail to prepare for. Like a perfume bottle with no perfume, it sits pretty upon the shelf but spends its time there never fulfilling its purpose. Powerful and thought provoking, written in classic Jude style.
Take care,
Sherry
Yes indeed...there are the "shallow" ones...who claim to see the truth...and yet it cannot pass their lips. Wonderfully worded and expressed lamentation, Jude. There are always the darker corridors...yet we can only shed light on them in response...
All good things to you,
My dear Jude,
Oh that everyone had your insight. Even then they couldn't write about it as you do. I ordered your book today. Funds are low but it's a Xmas present from me to me. How's that for justification. I've wanted the book for a long time. Now (soon) it will sit on my coffee table for all to enjoy.
Profound. It sounds like a brew is being made that we are all sucked into. Only to find what we had to give up to get there and hoping it will turn out all right. I think. A lot to chew on here. A keeper. Liz
